For a few years now, we’ve had our eye on a Beauty. She’s sleek yet rugged, compact yet roomy (we hope!), modest enough to fit in with the dirt-baggers yet classy enough to house two mid-30’s climbers (who still like their creature comforts).
When we decided to use travel through the USA for part of my sabbatical, we knew we wanted to meet this Beauty in person. We did our research, lined up all the rental contenders side-by-side, weighed the pros and cons (we’re scientists… it’s in our nature…), and thankfully, the Beauty was the front-runner!
Starting February 7th, we’ll be proud renters of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Camper Van RV!! I’ll give you a moment to feast your eyes on the Beauty.
Obviously, we’ll need to find a name for our temporary family member. Jonty already has an idea or two, but I think we’ll need to see her in person before a final decision is made. In the mean time, we’ll be taking suggestions… 🙂
In other news, we’ve had fantastic weather here the last few days! Cold, but sunny. The local mountains finally have a dusting of snow. We’ve decided that -4C is too chilly to cycle in, given our current cycling attire, so the bouldering cave will have to do!
